The Harris-Jackson school community would like to congratulate Mrs. Fickes, who was selected as our Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Fickes currently teaches fourth grade. She brings an enthusiasm and a love for teaching and learning (her learning and her students' learning) to Harris-Jackson each day. She is never too busy to share an encouraging word or laughter with those around her. She is always working to be even better doing the job she loves, and her energy and hard work pushes those around her to be better as well.
Mrs. Fickes has been teaching for 31 years, the last four at Harris-Jackson. She is married with 2 sons (Chase and Logan) who are in college. She "loves her job!"
