The insert reads: “This book was given in Honor and in the Memory of Karla Elaine Weber Who worked for the Akron Public School Libraries for decades because of her love for Children.”

The Friends of Harris-Jackson donated over 20 amazing books that celebrate the specialness and individuality of children. What an appropriate donation in memory of Mrs. Weber! She offered her hands and heart to the community of Harris Elementary and then Harris-Jackson CLC! We will continue to remember and be grateful for her years of helping to provide food, uniforms, coats, shoes, socks, Christmas gifts, and any other item that kids and families needed. Not only did she work as a member of our “Friends of Harris-Jackson/Honorary PTA,” she was also willing to lend a helping hand to our current librarian and other staff at Harris-Jackson. We are grateful to her family for sharing her with us!
