Like so many communities around the world, the Harris-Jackson family has gone through many changes over the course of the last month. One challenge has been to keep our students and their families connected and learning as we all adjust to the current COVID-19 pandemic.
During challenging times like these, it is heartwarming when individuals from the Akron community step up to become partners with the Harris-Jackson community. We would like to issue a great big "THANK YOU" to President Lori Alamin, Rozlyn Grant, Stephanie Pfeiffer, and other members of The Akron Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Their contribution of more than $600.00 will be used to provide hot spots for several Harris-Jackson families in need of internet access. This will ensure that these families have access to the Connected Learning opportunities being provided by Akron Public Schools.
