HJ Families Are Engaging

Logo and informational picture

The beginning of the school year has been very busy, and we've enjoyed a few family engagement activities already! Our Open House was a chance for families to come in and meet new teachers, take home some free school supplies, and tour the building (for new families).

We also welcomed caregivers back to the building on September 18th, for the annual Fathers & Family Walk. Nearly 100 fathers, caregivers, or other important adults walked or drove their students to school. They were able to have breakfast treats in the cafeteria together before walking their students to class, and wishing them a day of fun and success. Thank you to Mary Beth Miller, for providing donuts.

We also hit the halfway point of the first quarter of school. This was marked by Interim Pick-Up and Family Math Night on September 25th. More than 90 families participated with some Lego fun and snacks. Students were also able to take bags of school supplies home.

Stay tuned! More events are coming soon. We'll also share more photos from our Fathers and Family Walk.
