The Harris-Jackson community said farewell and congratulations to a member of its custodial team. “Ms. Pam” (Pam Finney). Ms Pam was a dear member of the Harris-Jackson family since we moved into the new building on Clifton Ave. in 2017. Ms. Pam is retiring from Akron Public Schools after 17 years of service. She previously retired from Goodyear. One thing that made Ms. Pam unique is the pride she had in her work, taking care of the school building as if it were her own home. She also developed special relationships along the way, with other custodians, administrators, teachers, students, and other staff members.
While Ms. Pam will be greatly missed, she is truly deserving of this retirement, and we wish her all the best in this next chapter of life. Although she will miss her Harris-Jackson family as well, she is looking forward to doing some traveling and spending more time with her family.
