How  are we implementing PBIS at our school in Tier 1? 

The Tiered Fidelity Inventory (our PBIS assessment) indicates that we are implementing Tier 1 with fidelity at 90%.  Within the core features, we are 100% Teams, 89% Implementation and 88% Evaluation.  In our action plan for the upcoming year we will work to focus on Tier 2 core features that support our students.  

What is our Office Discipline Referral rate?  

Our referral rate was a bit higher this year than last year.  This year we had 209 incidents with most of the incidents happening in the classroom and on the playground at recess.  Last year we had 171 incidents.  We will continue to encourage staff to reteach expectations during peak behavior months (November, December, March and April).  Reminding students of classroom and playground expectations will also be a focus. 

How is our attendance? 

Last Year:  92.8%    Chronic Absenteeism:  26.1%  

This Year:  92.6%    Chronic Absenteeism:  26.2% 

Our Attendance Initiatives (95% Attendance Club, PBIS Incentive Day) are producing excellent results and we are working to continue to improve our attendance.  We want to thank you for helping to get students to school on time, everyday.  

What is our Action Plan for next school year?

After reviewing the behavior and attendance data, upcoming school year goals:  

  1. We will expand our PBIS Team to include more representatives from the teaching staff and include a full time family member. 

  2. We will have monthly meetings the second Tuesday of each month after school.  

  3. We will expand the implementation of Tier 2 interventions and support for students in order to continue to increase student achievement, attendance, social and emotional wellness as well as decrease negative student behaviors.
