We are so excited about starting another school year at 1085 Clifton Ave. Harris-Jackson CLC continues to grow and we are currently the largest elementary school in the district. We continue to embrace the wonderful diversity of our school and community. We even had our first ever Multicultural Fair last school year! Though the list may change from year to year, our partners and donors continue to amaze us with their commitment to have a positive impact on Harris-Jackson. Whether it’s through time, resources, talents or some other gift, we are always thankful for the contribution. We’re also always looking to add more names to our treasured partner/donor list.

If you need a few ideas, let me share a few initiatives and goals we have for the year. We are looking to expand our College and Career experiences and exploration opportunities for our students. We aim to develop our students into scholars who are well-rounded with, not only the necessary academic skills, but also those social-emotional and Soft Skills that will help them in the “world of work” and in life in general. We are starting a 95% Attendance Club this year to encourage family involvement in establishing great attendance habits. We are always open to receiving incentives that can motivate and encourage our students, families and staff to do their best. Equally important is the gift of time. We are always looking for mentors, volunteers and those of you who would like to come in and share information at one of our Family Engagement Meeting.
